Abstract. The agro-industrial complex plays a vital role in ensuring the country's food security. In each region, the issue of regional supply of basic agricultural products plays a key role in self-sufficiency in domestic agricultural production. The purpose of this article is to analyze the development of agricultural enterprises in the Sverdlovsk region. In Table 1, the author analyzes the breeding farms of the Sverdlovsk region. Table 2 presents data on crop production, demonstrating the role of farms and private household plots in self-sufficiency in agricultural crop production. Table 3 lists the importing countries that purchase agricultural products from the Sverdlovsk region. The article concludes that further development of the region's agro-industrial complex requires improved production efficiency, product quality and safety, and increased export potential. It is also important to improve the living conditions of the rural population to reduce the outflow of young people from rural areas.
