Abstract. This article provides a comparative analysis of geoinformation systems ‘Aksioma’ and ‘QGIS’ as tools for creating digital elevation models and thematic maps. Their functional capabilities are disclosed, accuracy, performance, convenience of work with spatial data are evaluated. On the basis of the results obtained, practical recommendations are given on the choice of the optimal platform for cadastral and agricultural tasks, aimed at improving the performance of spatial analysis and visualisation of territories.
