Currently, it is very difficult for young people to decide on their future profession. There is an obvious need to develop and improve an effective system of vocational guidance for schoolchildren from an early age. In addition, it is important to ensure a continuous trajectory of professional development of young people, to achieve the highest results in increasing the level of employment of University graduates in the profession. For this purpose, the center for professional development of young people was created in the Ural state UNIVERSITY, whose specialists developed and started implementing an educational project for students of the "agro school", for students of the "I am in the profession" University. The forms of implementation of these projects are developed taking into account the results of sociological surveys of high school students and graduate students. It was revealed that by the middle of the school year, only 48.0% of students decided on the choice of higher education institution, of which 31.0% did it for a long time. At the same time, only 22% of students answered the question "will you go to work by profession after graduation?" the answer was" Yes, undoubtedly." The created projects contribute to the implementation of the main goals of Federal and national projects, whose tasks include the formation of an effective system for identifying and supporting gifted children and young people; providing opportunities for professional and career growth of young people.
