This article examines the application of punishment in the form of administrative expulsion and its implementation in the era of the pandemic. The pandemic period became a catalyst for legal reforms, including in the development of the institution of administrative expulsion, which indicates the relevance of this study. The author concludes that the difficult period of restrictions during the pandemic allowed to reform legal and economic relations with migrants, to offset the financial consequences of the pandemic and to improve the mechanism of administrative expulsion as an administrative punishment.
