Abstract. The relevance of the concept of "intellectual capital" appeared in the process of increasing the intellectualization of labor in modern conditions, the saturation of any work with mental activity. This article considers intellectual capital as one of the most important factors in the effective operation of an enterprise. The transition of developed countries to a post-industrial society has raised the level of attention to the study of the intellectual capital of enterprises. Knowledge management is the strategic action of an organization to gain a competitive advantage and leverage the intellectual assets and resources of its employees and customers. In the knowledge economy, intellectual capital appears to be primarily an important asset of an organization. Intellectual capital management has an impact on business performance. Knowledge is the foundation of intellectual capital and therefore the foundation of organizational capabilities.
