Abstract. This paper examines milk production dynamics in the Sverdlovsk Region during the period of economic sanctions. The region's dairy market is an important segment of the agro-industrial complex, encompassing enterprises ranging from small farms to large factories. The imposition of sanctions had a significant impact on the industry, limiting access to imported equipment, ingredients, and components, leading to increased costs and reduced product quality. An analysis of production and financial indicators for 2022-2024 is also provided, demonstrating the industry's adaptation to the new conditions. Despite challenges such as equipment and component shortages, the industry has shown signs of recovery, as evidenced by an increase in cow numbers and milk marketability. Recommendations for the further development of dairy farming are presented, including investment in technology, support for farmers, and the development of an export policy. These measures are aimed at increasing the competitiveness and resilience of the industry under sanctions.
